  • All private land (Owner Occupied and tenanted)
  • Additional land requirement – expand existing WTW
  • New intake off River Ouse (land and access purchase).

  • Landowner opposition
  • Ability to obtain access for surveys – no powers
  • Locating mitigation / compensation acreage
  • Public (local and national) opposition
  • Purchase of indicated area by agreement or by means compulsory purchase order (CPO).


  • Working with key landowner for win / win results
  • Reorganisation of farm – new buildings complex etc.
  • Replacement land and mitigation land – identified
  • Agreeing licences for survey – ecology and boreholes etc. by agreement. No Secretary of State application
  • Assisting at public meetings – meeting those not directly affected. Managing their concerns
  • Negotiating crop loss claims arising through invasive survey work.
