What our staff have to say

  • I joined Dalcour Maclaren in 2011 with the ambition of becoming a Chartered Surveyor but without an RICS accredited degree. I was supported through a distance-learning course where I gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying. The graduate programme was really helpful and I successfully passed the RICS APC in November 2013. Throughout my time at Dalcour Maclaren I have worked with a number of water utility clients on their strategic mains projects as well as helping with property management. I also advise clients on strategic matters such as land registration and planning and development. I really feel that I have come a long way in the last three years.

  • I joined Dalcour Maclaren in 2013 after I saw an advert referring to the Graduate program which specifically mentioned the RICS Associate Membership route. This was appealing to me as my degree wasn’t RICS accredited and I wanted to work as a Land Agent in the Utility Sector. The DM Graduate Training Programme has provided me with extensive experience combined with the support and training necessary for sitting the RICS Associate Assessment. I have recently submitted my Associate Assessment and am awaiting the outcome. In the meantime, I continue to assist in the delivery of large scale infrastructure projects.

    Alice Hammersley, Bicester Office

  • Following completion of my degree in 2010 at Harper Adams University College I joined Dalcour Maclaren as a graduate surveyor. I was enrolled on the RICS APC programme as the sole candidate in the Bicester office at that time. In October 2012, with support and guidance, I progressed through the programme and passed my APC exam first time to become a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor. Following qualification I have taken on more responsibility for managing my client's' larger schemes, becoming highly involved in the management of their portfolio of work. I have developed and grown with the company and have the scope to progress as the company advances.
